Ziua Marii Uniri

Ziua Marii Uniri

On December 1st, Finley James hosted a memorable event, Ziua Marii Uniri, at Transilvanian Taste - Hull, bringing together the local Romanian community for a day of unity and celebration. The festivities catered to both adults and children, offering a vibrant array of activities. The younger attendees enjoyed delightful experiences like face painting and colouring, with a plethora of Romanian-themed artwork, flags, and stickers, adding to the festive spirit.

For the adults, the day began with a warm welcome featuring traditional Ciorba de fasole (bean soup). Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to connect with local Romanian companies, fostering engagement within the heart of Hull. One of the highlights was the captivating showcase by the talented Doru Bertesteanu, who presented an exquisite collection of bespoke jewellery, receiving widespread acclaim. Another noteworthy showcase was by James from Finley James, offering a complimentary consultancy service for all attendees. The evening concluded with a touching balloon release gathering, where participants inscribed personal messages on cards, sending heartfelt wishes to loved ones in Romania and those unable to be present. Tears of joy and happiness accompanied the release of the balloons into the air, creating a poignant and memorable moment.

This marked Finley James' inaugural event for the Romanian community, and it undoubtedly won't be the last. As a united community, we are committed to nurturing our relationships and thriving together. Stay tuned for more enriching experiences as we continue to build and strengthen our bonds.
